The SoHT members and all the “hair testing” community are invited to convene in the beautiful city of Verona for the 2022 edition of the annual meeting of the Society.
The 2022 event will be a joint meeting of SoHT and the Italian Group of Forensic Toxicologists (GTFI).
This event will offer an unique opportunity for sharing new science and technology in a forensic multidisciplinary context, and glimpses towards promising new directions of this peculiar tool of investigation.
The event will be held from June 8rd to June 10th 2022, the perfect time for enjoying the beauties of Verona and surroundings, including Lake Garda, the vineyards of Valpolicella and Soave, Lessinia, Valeggio sul Mincio and Mantova.
Verona, located in the center of northern Italy, can easily be reached by plane (Verona Catullo International Airport), by train (Stazione Verona Porta Nuova) and highways (A4 and A22).
Verona offers top quality local food and wines (Valpolicella, Soave, Amarone, Custoza, just to mention a few of them) and easy accommodation in hotels and B&B, at reasonable costs.
The meeting venue at the University of Verona, School of Medicine, is equipped with modern lecture halls and spaces for poster presentation and for exhibitors.

The meeting will be hybrid so participants can attend online or on site
The participation fee onsite includes access to all spaces of the meeting, abstract book, Welcome Cocktail Conference day, Coffee breaks/ Lunches, Shuttle Bus twice a day from/to City Center at the beginning and at the end of the meeting day.
The participation fee from remote includes all the access to the Virtual Platform of the Congress, Abstract book in pdf format and free access to the authorized contents, including videos of presentations.

oral communication and poster
GUIDELINES FOR ORAL COMMUNICATION
Every presenter have 15 minutes for oral presentation (12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion)
The supported software for presentation is PowerPoint
Save the slides or videos used in your presentation on your USB memory stick.
Technical help & Media Check
15 minutes before the beginning of the Session please make sure to reach the Slide Center to give your ppt presentation to the technician.
The use of a personal laptop for presentations is not allowed. Please remember to bring your presentation on a memory stick.
Please make sure to keep the right time of all the presentations in order to prevent delays during the Session.
GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTATION
The POSTER SESSIONS are scheduled during Lunch and Coffee breaks (see the online programme on the website)
Size: posters must be max 120 cm in height by 90 cm in width. The Organizing Secretariat will provide you with the necessary material to hang your poster.
You can hang your poster on WEDNESDAY JUNE 8TH FROM 8.00 AM and you will have to remove it on FRIDAY JUNE 10TH AFTER THE POSTER SESSION AND UNTIL 5.00 PM
The poster should remain in place for the entire time of the scheduled poster session.
We kindly ask you to remove and discard your poster if you do not want to keep it. If a poster is not removed at the end of the poster period, the staff will assume that the presenter wants the poster material discarded.
Special Issue
"Drug Testing and Analysis"
Dear Researchers,
As an effort to further valorize your research work, a special issue associated with the 26th SoHT meeting taking place in Verona, will be published in the journal Drug Testing and Analysis (Wiley).
Participants giving presentation during the meeting will therefore have the opportunity to submit an article associated with their presentation.
Article submission will be open from June 13th 2022 until October 31th 2022.
Further details on the submission process will be provided soon.
